I have had successful results with the California Filament Matte Black Filament on the Bambu P1P by changing a few settings. Im sure these settings will work for the X1 as well.
Use the Bambu PETg settings profile and change the following:
Change the Printing Tempature to 220c (If it is too high, it smokes)
Bed Temperature to 80c
Outside Wall Speed to 50 (I find the slower it goes, the better the matte texture is)
Top Surface Speed to 100
Use a brim to prevent warping and lifting off the bed.
It is important to calibrate the Flow Rate & Flow Dynamics with Bambu Studios built-in calibration tools, it makes a huge difference in the aesthetic
I live in a pretty dry climate, so your experience may vary but this stuff needs to be dry (as any PETg.) For me, I just put it in a box with desiccant overnight, you might need to use a proper dryer.
A perfect first layer is critical for the success of the rest of the print. Wash the plate with Dawn and IPA. I use liquid glue and either a Textured PEI Plate or a Bambu Engineering plate.
