WE printed this for a Client it took 28kg of PETG and more than 45days of print time and more than a week of prep and paint. FYI I'm 5'4"
Are the density ratings available for each filament? I use density regularly to keep track of how much filament I've used on any given spool. (The densities I'm particularly interested in at the moment are the 3 limited edition pastels, and the marble)
Including empty spool weights and/or an overall datasheet on each filament would be useful (for those of us that are too excited to start using it and we forget to weight the GW of a full spool first) - I'm using 147g for a plastic spool but I'm not sure how close to the regular that is.
p.s. printing a temperature calibration block right now, and this is the first time I've had PETG start simply working right out of the package with unbelievable little complication (using K1 Max w/.4mm PCD nozzle). I'm only about 30 minutes into the experience, but I'm definitely sold on this brand so far 😄
Hi,
I really love California PETG. I used to have all kinds of issues but since using California PETG it has become my go-to-no-brainer filament.
I have found this on Printables from Adam L and it was very helpful in printing clear filament on my Bambu X1C and my Prusa MX3. https://www.printables.com/model/613741-print-glass-with-your-bambu-x1x1ep1sp1p-printer-or My pieces came out very clear and strong. I have found that speed had the most impact.
In fact I have downloaded and used all of Adam L's profiles and use them as my starting profiles for all filaments not just the specific brand in his profiles.
Good Luck,
Tom
Just tried my first spool of Light Grey PETG and there is a strange appearance to the print, certain areas almost look like there is air under them or something. Layer adhesion and other properties are good but the blotchy appearance won't work for this project. Is there a setting I can change to help?
I am using a Bambu P1s printer:
80°c bed temp
.4mm nozzle
255°c nozzle temp.
